Hines tapped as Gator of the Year

Albany, NY—Russell Sage College's department of athletics announced their award winners for the 2021-2022 academic year at the annual awards banquet.  In addition to several honors bestowed for athletic and academic excellence, Sage also selected the Gator of the Year Award for the department's 21 varsity sports for the 2021-2022 year.

RSC's sophomore attacker Grace Hines (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) was honored as the Gator of the Year in women's lacrosse.

Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Alyssa Treanor noted "Our award winner is one the most dedicated players in the program." She continued, "This student-athlete is an absolute pleasure to coach. She never missed a practice this season, while also dominating on the lacrosse field.  At many points during the year, she would be thrown into different positions in high stakes moments, and she always shouldered that responsibility with pride and competitiveness- all while being a great teammate."
