RSC Drops Season Finale

ONEONTA, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College concluded its spring with this afternoon's 13-4 setback at Hartwick.

Sophomore attacker Alexandra Queeney (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown), sophomore attacker Grace Hines (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland), junior attacker Caroline Musinski (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union), and freshman midfielder Aimee Rodriquez (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) netted the goals for the Gators. Queeney topped RSC (5-9/2-4 E8) with four draw controls, while junior goalkeeper Madeline Butta (Millbrook, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) (above) made nine saves.

The Hawks, which secured a spot in the E8 Championship Tournament with the home victory, got out to a 6-1 lead after the opening 15 minutes. From there, Hartwick (6-6/3-3 E8) was able to keep the Gators at bay.

Freshman midfielder Kristen Vaccarelli led the victors with seven goals and six draw controls.


Notes: Hines began the week second in the E8 in goals per-game...Sophomore midfielder Lailah Espinal (Mastic Beach, NY/William Floyd) entered the day as the conference-leader in groundballs and caused turnovers.
