Gators Wrap Home Slate with a Setback

ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College concluded the home portion of its schedule with this afternoon's 17-1 Empire 8 Conference setback to St. John Fisher.

The Cardinals, receiving votes in the latest IWLCA National Poll, outscored RSC 8-1 in the opening quarter on their way to the road victory.

Sophomore attacker Grace Hines (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) netted the lone goal for the Gators, while sophomore midfielder Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) led all participants with four draw controls.

Freshman midfielder Sydney Carpenter topped St. John Fisher (5-6/3-0 E8) with eight points on two goals and six assists.

This afternoon was the home season finale for the Gators. RSC (5-7/2-2 E8) plays its final two contests of the spring on the road, starting next Saturday at Nazareth.
