Madeline Butta

At Sage:

• Madeline Butta joined the 2020 women’s lacrosse team and was a starter in 1 of 2 matches played on the shortened season.
• A rookie goalie, she started one game in goal and made 5 saves and was 0-1 in net.

Academics at Sage:

• She is majoring in psychology at Sage.

High School:

• A graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, she earned three varsity letters as a member of the lacrosse team.
• A starter, she was a two-time team captain and earned all-League honorable mention as a sophomore. She was a two-time all-league member as a junior and a senior, while also earning a spot on the 2018 H.V.S.R. Dream Team II.
• She was also named to the 2018 Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star Second Team as a junior and a Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star First Team pick as a senior.
• Butta was named the Lourdes Girls Lacrosse "Will to Win" Athlete in 2017 and capped her career with the record for most saves with 435.
• She helped her team to their first league championship in 2017, while also helping the program to the second round of sectionals in Section 1 Class C in 2017 and 2018.
• A member of the National Honor Society as a junior and seniors, she is also earned Deans’ List acclaim for three straight year.
