20th Ranked SJFC Tops Sage in Empire 8 Women's lacrosse action

Troy, NY-- The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse squad hosted the No. 20 ranked Cardinals of St. John Fisher College on Saturday afternoon in a league match-up. The Cardinals cruised to a 22-0 win over Sage to improve 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the league. Sage drops to 2-8 overall and 1-5 in the conference.

St. John Fisher led 16-0 at the half and by game's end, Logan Chasse had four goals with an assist, while Mallory Eymer had three goals on the day.

Sage's rookie goalie Carly Plaisance (Bennington, VT/Mount Union Anthony) yielded seven goals in the action with no saves before rookie Marina Azab (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) entered the match and had five saves with nine goals allowed. Junior tri-captain Jenna Cislak (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) played the second half and had two saves with six goals allowed in 30 minutes of work.

Next up for the Gators, they will host the Wildcats of SUNY-Polytechnic on April 19 at 7 p.m. at ACP's Athletic Complex.
