Brennan and Rosenberg Join Sage Women's Lacrosse Coaching Staff

Albany, NY – The Sage Colleges has announced the addition of Kelly Brennan (Saratoga Springs, NY) to serve as an assistant women's lacrosse coach for the women's program for the coming season. Also joining Sage's team this spring is Lauren Rosenberg (Smithtown, NY), who will serve as a graduate assistant coach this year. Both join head coach Lauren Marois this coming year as the Gators will compete this spring as the newest member of the Empire 8 Conference.

Head Coach Marois noted, "Kelly brings a lot to the table for us this season." She added, "Going into the Empire 8 Conference I think this is the perfect time for her to join us. She has a wide variety of experience from playing to coaching at many different levels. I am excited for her high knowledge of the game and willingness to learn."

A 2013 graduate of St. Lawrence University, Brennan is a former coach of girls' lacrosse as well as boys' ice hockey, and volleyball at the Forman School (Litchfield, CT). She played collegiate field hockey having attended Connecticut College before graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government. She has also earned a Master of Science degree in 2016 from Green Mountain College in sustainable Food Systems. She has extensive experience as a player having played on the Northwest Corner Women's Lacrosse Team as well as ice hockey with the Connecticut Northern Light Team.

Rosenberg arrives at Sage having played four seasons at Hartwick College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hartwick in 2017 after excelling as a student-athlete for the Hawks. A two-time team captain, she earned two citations as a member of the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll after also collecting Empire 8 Second Team honors as a junior and a senior. Twice named the team MVP, she was an Empire 8 Honorable Mention All-star as a freshman and sophomore at Hartwick after wrapping her stellar career 231 career points. She ranked sixth all-time at Hartwick in career points, while her 185 career goals is seventh all-time. A former SAAC president, she was also active with the Empire 8 SAAC and is a former Empire 8 SAAC Summit attendee. She is currently a student at The Sage Colleges and is working on her doctoral of Physical Therapy degree with an anticipated graduation date of 2020.

Marois continued, "I am very excited to have Lauren Rosenberg joining us as well this year.  "With joining the Empire 8 Conference, her successful playing experience at Hartwick is going to give us some insight on our new conference. She has many things to offer to our attackers and midfielders."
