Savannah Mason

At Sage:

  • A two-sport standout at Sage, Savannah Mason excelled in women’s soccer for four seasons. The 2018 lacrosse season marks her third year on the field with the Gator lacrosse squad.
  • On the soccer pitch, she established a new standard for career games played in women’s soccer as she played in 72 games, while having made 67 starts with 13 points this season (5g, 3a). On her career, she added 64 points on 27 goals and 10 assists.
  • As a newcomer in soccer in 2013, she started all 15 games and led the team with 1,288 minutes played as a field player. She turned up her efforts in 2014 as she set a Sage single-game record with her four goals to lift the Gators past SUNY-Old Westbury, 4-3. Named the Skyline and ECAC Metro Player of the Week for her efforts in early October, Mason capped her sophomore campaign with a selection to the Skyline Conference All-Star First Team after she led the team with her 34 points. She added a personal-best 15 goals with four assists and had four game-winning goals as well in 2014 as the team finished the season as a semifinalist in the Skyline and ECAC Metro Tournament.
  • She was ranked nationally as well in five different categories including No. 72 in total goals and No. 78 in goals per game average (0.75). She was also ranked in game-winning goals (No. 93), total points (No. 85), and points per game average (No. 99).
  • Named to the 2015 Skyline Conference All-Star Second as a junior, she was the team's third leading scorer having added 17 points on seven goals and three assists. She was nationally ranked in game-winning goals in 2015 for the Skyline Conference regular-season champion Gators.
  • In lacrosse as a newcomer, she played in every contest as a newcomer to the lacrosse teams. She added four goals with 28 ground ball pickups and 10 caused turnovers. She also added seven draws and helped the team while anchoring the midfield unit.
  • Last season, she helped the team collect the program’s first ever post-season appearance.
  • She capped the 2017 campaign with three points on two goals with an assist. She was a 14-game starter and collected 31 ground ball pickups with 12 draws and nine caused turnovers.

 

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in physical education at Sage and has been cited as a Dean’s List student as well as a Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete and a Sage Scholar-Athlete honoree. She was also honored as a Sage Athletic Honor Society Member in 2017 and was honored as the 2016-2017 Aggie Stillman Perseverance Award Recipient.

 

High School:

  • A graduate of Averill Park High School, she is a former scholastic performer in soccer and track and field, she was a four-time honor roll performer as well as a Scholar-Athlete honoree.

She is the daughter of Stephen and Andrea Mason.
