Sage Women's Lacrosse Teams Spends evening at Albany VA Hospital Spreading Holiday Joy

Albany, NY---The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team traveled to the VA Hospital of Albany this past week and had a holiday party with several of the patients, many of whom are recipients of Purple Heart medals.

The team members made cards and spent the evening walking around visiting with the men and women who served our country and brought the cards as well as candy and small tokens of appreciation. The players visited with the veterans and listened to some stories and made some connections with the residents.

Head women's lacrosse coach Lauren Marois said of the experience, "It was an awesome event and it was incredible to see how much our team spending some time with them put a smile on their faces."

Sage's women's lacrosse team has been very active in the community in recent years having volunteered at the Northeastern NY Foodbank, Tamarac Elementary School for a skills' clinic, and the Capital City Rescue Mission.
