Gators fall on the road to Ramapo College

Mahwah, NJThe Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team travelled to face Ramapo College on Saturday in a non-conference contest. Ramapo posted the 16-4 victory to snap Sage's two-game win streak. Ramapo improves to 2-3, while the Gators drops to 2-2.

Sage's junior co-captain Monica Koralus (Verbank, NY/Millbrook) led the team in scoring with her two goals and an assist.  She stands No. 2 all-time with 92 points, while ranking No. 2 now in goals (66) and No. 1 in career assists (26).  On the 2016 season, Koralus has taken a commanding lead in the scoring race as she has 17 goals with five assists and 22 points.

Sophomore attackers Martine Ianniello (Havre de Grace, MD/Havre de Grace) and Ellen Abbott (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) both added a goal as well for Sage.

In goal, Sage's junior Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) took the loss as she made six saves in the contest. St. Pierre now has 319 saves, just shy of surpassing the mark held by Courtney Reed (324, 2010-2013).

Sage returns to action on March 23 travelling to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts for a 4 p.m.
