After an outstanding career on the soccer pitch as Sage, Nicole Maher is adding women’s lacrosse to her resume. As a senior in soccer, she was named the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-East Region Third Team as a goalie. The talented performer saw time this fall at both ends of the field and after leading the team to the program’s first Skyline Conference regular-season title and a school record 14-4-1 campaign, she was also honored as a Skyline Conference All-Star First Team for her play at goal keeper. Her play was not limited to just the goal as she also excelled on the field as a forward too this fall.

Maher, who was named the Skyline Rookie of the Year in 2012 is now two-time first team honoree having also earned first-team honors as a rookie. Maher, who played her first three years as a Sage field player and capped her senior campaign as both a goalie and field performer, earned Skyline First Team honors as a goalie. She went 13-2-1 in net with a 0.80 GAA, while allowing just 10 goals in 16 games and tallied four shutouts. She also tallied 16 points this fall on six goals and four assists. With the release of the latest NCAA Division III statistics, Maher was ranked No. 70 in the country with her 0.80 goals against average. Offensively, Maher finishes as the program's No. 3 all-time leader in career goals with 34, while adding 18 assists, which was No. 2. She tallied 86 career points, which is No. 3 at Sage.

Scholastically, she earned 11 varsity letters at Saint Dominic, and boasts a long list of accomplishments on her scholastic resume. She excelled in soccer, lacrosse, and basketball scholastically. Among her many awards, she was a three-year team captain in both soccer and lacrosse. She was the Most Outstanding Player of the League in 2012 for the NSCHGAA, while earning team MVP honors twice as well as team's most improved status in 2008.

In lacrosse, she was also a two-time recipient of the NSCHGAA Sportsmanship Award, while also winning the Eric Jensen Award twice (2008, 2011). A Timothy Byrne Scholarship recipient in 2010, she led the lacrosse team to back-to-back NSCHGAA League Championships in 2011 and 2012.

A member of the National Honor Society, she was also placed on the Spanish Honor Society as well the Art Honor Society as well as earning acclaim with a spot on the Principal's List.

She is majoring in health sciences at Sage and is the daughter of Nancy Maher.
