Now a senior, Jena Jacot returns to the Gator lineup having earned back to back Skyline Conference All-Star Second team honors. Her 2015 selection came as the defender led the team with her 34 ground ball pickups and handed out three assists.  She also caused 21 turnovers with four draw controls and was an 11-game starter for the team. Jacot has now played in 25 games at Sage with 48 career ground ball pickups and 40 caused turnovers.

As a newcomer with the team in 2014, she started all 12 games and added one goal and two assists. She also connected for 14 ground ball pickups with 19 caused turnovers. She earned Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team honors on defense. She was also ranked nationally in the Top 200 players in the category in caused turnovers.

She brings five career points on one goal and four assists from her defensive position into the 2016 season. She has now played in 25 games with 48 ground ball pickups and is poised to add her name to the record book as she is No. 7, while having also tallied a career-record 40 caused turnovers already.

A graduate of Parishville-Hopkinton Central, Jacot arrived at Sage with an extensive resume. A three-sport stand-out, she excelled in soccer, basketball and softball. A team captain in both soccer and basketball, she earned second team All-Northern honors in soccer, while earning three sportsmanship awards in both basketball and soccer. She helped her 2012 soccer team advance to the championship game of the league.

At Sage, she is majoring in physical education and is also active on campus. A Dean’s List student, she was named to the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team as well as earning a spot on the Sage Scholar-Athlete Team. She participates in A.C.E. and is mentor for the Sage freshmen. She is the daughter of Kip and Christina Jacot.
