FSC posts Skyline Win over Sage in women's lacrosse action

Troy, NY-- The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team hosted the Rams of Farmingdale State College on Saturday in a Skyline Conference match-up. The Rams led 9-1 at the half and rolled to a 19-1 road win on Saturday at Renwyck Field. FSC is now 5-4 overall with a 3-1 conference mark, while Sage drops to 1-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

FSC's had three players finish with six points apiece as senior midfielder Nicole Marzocca (North Babylon, NY/Brentwood), junior midfielder Kristen Ranaldo (Commack, NY/Commack), and senior attacker Jackie Kennedy (Massapequa Park, NY/Massapequa) all had six points. Marzocca and Ranaldo each had two goals with four assists, while Kennedy tallied one goal with five assists.

Graduate student Shirah Fudin (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) tallied the Gators' lone goal in the action in the contest.

FSC's junior Krista Spagnoletta (West Islip, NY/West Islip) had one goal allowed in the action as she played the first half. Junior Georgia Kalamidas (Old Bethpage, NY/Plainview JFK) had one save in her 30 minutes of work in sharing in the team's road win. Sage's sophomore goalie Chelsea Hunt (Verplanck, NY/Hendrick Hudson) made the start and had 10 goals allowed with two saves in 30 plus minutes of work. Sophomore Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) made seven saves in the contest in her time in net.

Sage is back in action on April 14 hosting Mt. St. Mary College at UAlbany's John Fallon Field at 7 p.m.
