Purchase tallies 18-7 win over Sage in Skyline Lacrosse action

Purchase, NY-- The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse team fell on Wednesday night to Purchase College in Skyline Conference play. Purchase improves to 8-1 and 3-1 in the Skyline Conference after recording the 18-7 win over Sage. The Gators drop to 1-7 overall and 1-2 in the league.

The Panthers held a 9-4 lead after making a late run after the action was tied at 3-3 to open play.

Sage's rookie midfielder Shannon Farrell (Indian Lake, NY/Indian Lake Central) led the squad with her three goals in the action.  Sophomore Monica Kolarus (Verbank, NY/Millbrook) added one goal and an assist with nine draw controls and four ground ball pickups.

Graduate student Shirah Fudin (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central) tallied a goal with six ground ball pickups and a pair of draw controls.

Koralus now has 51 career points, which is now No. 2 all-time in the program's history as she moved ahead of Kimberlee Carr (49 pts., 37g, 12a). Fudin is also climbing the same list as she has 40 career points (No. 6). Koralus is now No. 4 in career goals, while Fudin is No. 5 with her 36 career goals.

Rookie defender Missy Schneiderman (Middletown, NY/Minisink) tallied two goals as well for Sage in the contest.

Sage's sophomore Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) made six saves in the contest.

Sage returns to action on April 11 hosting Farmingdale State College in a Skyline Conference match at RPI's Renwyck Field at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
