Lacrosse Team's Skyline Hopes Dashed by Knights

Newburgh, NY---The Sage Colleges women's lacrosse team travelled to Mt. St. Mary College for a Skyline Conference contest on Wednesday night. The host Knights tallied an 18-4 win to improve to 8-6 overall and 5-2 in the league, while the loss dashes Sage's hopes of a Skyline bid as they drop to 3-8 overall and 2-5 in the league.

Sage's sophomores Kimberlee Carr (Colonie, NY/Colonie Central) added two goals to lead the team, while sophomore Mallory Hansen (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) and junior Melissa Spring (Walworth, NY/Penfield) each scored one goal for the Gators.

On the season, Carr has 42 goals and an assists for 43 points as he single-season goals thus far now ranks No. 2 for single-season goals at Sage.

For the Gators, rookie goalie Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) made 10 saves on the night and now has a 3-8 record in goal with 129 saves on the season. Her 129 saves ranks No. 2 in single-season saves.

Sage returns to action on April 19 hosting the Mariners of Mitchell College on Saturday, April 19 in a 2 p.m. non-conference game, which will take place at UAlbany's John Fallon Field. Sage will honor their seniors in conjunction with Senior Day.
