Sage Lacrosse Team Tallies 19 goals and posts key Skyline win behind Carr's 9 goals

Throggs Neck, NY---The Sage Colleges women's lacrosse team travelled to Maritime College on Saturday afternoon for a Skyline Conference match. The Gators came away with a 19-12 win, tying the school's record for most goals in a game and are now 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the Skyline. Maritime drops to 2-7 overall and 0-4 in the Skyline.  

Sage led 9-6 at the break and by day's end sophomore midfielder Kimberlee Carr (Colonie, NY/Colonie Central) had nine goals in the action. The nine goals in a game is the second most in program history in a game and give Carr an impressive 31 goals on the season. She owns a 4.429 goals per game average, which leads the conference this year.

Rookie Monica Koralus (Verbank, NY/Milbrook) added three goals, while Sage newcomer, graduate student, Shirah Fudin (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) added three goals off the bench in her first game as a Gator.  Sophomore Mallory Hansen (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) chipped in two goals for Sage.

For the Gators, rookie goalie Jackie St. Pierre (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park) made 12 saves in earning the win and is now 2-6 in goal.

Sage returns to action on April 10 hosting the College of Mt. St. Vincent at 6 p.m. at University at Albany's John Fallon Field in a Skyline Conference game.
