Lauren Marois added to Sage Women's Lacrosse Coaching Staff

Troy, NY---The Sage Colleges' women's lacrosse program is proud to announce the addition of Lauren Marois (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) to the lacrosse coaching staff, where she will serve as an assistant coach with the Gators.

A 2013 graduate of Oswego State College, she played four seasons with the Lakers and played in goal for the team. She capped her senior season with playing in eight games, making two starts. She logged over 235 minutes in goal and registered an 8.79 goals against average and a .551 save percentage for the Lakers in 2013. As a rookie, she started three games and led the team in goals against average and recorded the win with seven saves in a 23-5 victory over Wells College.

She earned her bachelor of arts degree from Oswego State in public relations with a concentration in journalism and a minor in coaching. Scholastically, she played at Shenendehowa High School for three seasons, serving as the team captain of the 2009 team.

Marois has also served as an assistant coach of the Mad Dog Lacrosse Team, working with age groups from ages 5-18, while adding her knowledge of the game as a volunteer assistant coach at Shenendehowa from 2011 to the 2013, assisting with summer camps and winter session training. She also worked for three years as a volunteer for the SAFE (Sports Are For Everyone) program from 2006-2009.
