Faraj Repeats as E8 Player of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College sophomore guard Syrita Faraj (Troy, NY/Tamarac) was named the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, February 5.

The reigning E8 Rookie of the Year registered 25.5 points per-game on 55.9 percent shooting in a 2-0 week.  The sophomore guard, who averaged 10.5 rebounds in the pair of E8 home wins, equaled a career-high of 32 points on 12-of-16 shooting in Saturday's home win vs. Elmira. The output was good for fourth-most by an RSC player in a single-game.

Looking ahead, RSC (13-7/9-4 E8) goes for its fifth-straight win on Tuesday at Hartwick. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 pm.
