Gators Run Winning Streak to Four

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College extended its winning streak to four with Saturday's 72-58 Empire 8 Conference victory vs. Elmira.

Sophomore guard Syrita Faraj (Troy, NY/Tamarac), who was named the E8 Player of the Week on Monday, powered the Gators (13-7/9-4 E8) to the home win. The reigning E8 Rookie of the Year, registered 32 points, equaling a career-high and the fifth-most points in a game by an RSC player, on 12-of-16 shooting.

Forward Giuliana Pritchard (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam/Hartwick), a graduate student, added 15 points and seven rebounds.

Sophomore forward Desiree Roy paced Elmira (12-8/8-6 E8) with 19 points and seven rebounds.

Looking ahead, RSC plays at Hartwick on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
