ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College picked up its third-straight win by defeating visiting Alfred 72-52 this evening in the Kahl Campus Center.
The Gators, which held a 35-20 lead at the break, had a pair of players register double-doubles in the home Empire 8 Conference victory.
Forward Giuliana Pritchard (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam/Hartwick), a graduate student, topped all players with 28 points on 60.0 percent shooting. She added 15 rebounds and four assists for her ninth double-double of the season.
Sophomore guard Syrita Faraj (Troy, NY/Tamarac), who was named the E8 Player of the Week on Monday, also achieved a double-double. The reigning E8 Rookie of the Year recorded 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Junior guard Leah Harkenrider led Alfred (10-9/5-8 E8), now on a four-game slide, with 12 points.
Looking ahead, RSC (12-7/8-4 E8) hosts Elmira on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
