Slow Start Curtails RSC Winning Streak

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Russell Sage College saw its three-game winning streak come to end tonight at Nazareth. The Golden Flyers outscored the Gators 20-8 in the opening quarter en route to taking the Empire 8 Conference contest 81-55.

Senior guard Sammy Pasinella (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) topped the Gators (9-6/5-3 E8) with 16 points, while sophomore guard Syrita Faraj (Troy, NY/Tamarac), who was named the E8 Player of the Week on Monday, added 11 points. 

A pair of grad students helped Nazareth (10-4/6-1 E8) improve to 5-0 at home. Guard/forward Kim Davis led the Golden Flyer with 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while forward Jadyn Adams added 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, four assists and four steals.

Looking ahead, RSC plays at E8-leading St. John Fisher tomorrow at 2:00 pm.
