RSC drops road game at Nazareth

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College's women's basketball team traveled to Nazareth College for an Empire 8 contest on the road. The host Golden Flyers earned a 65-40 victory on Saturday to improve to 13-6 overall and 8-2 in the league. The setback puts the Gators at 9-11 overall and 5-6 in the league. Nazareth held a 32-24 lead at the half and were paced by the play of Jadyn Abrams who finished with a game-best 21 points.

Freshman guard Syrita Faraj (Troy, NY/Tamarac) added 12 points with five steals and five rebounds for the Gators. Senior forward Kyra Oeffler (Green Island, NY/Heatly) collected 10 points with six rebounds, while junior guard Renna Poulin (Troy, NY/Tamarac) finished the day with seven points.

Nazareth's Abrams was a perfect 5-5 from three-point range and made 7-of-9 shots from the floor in leading her team to the home victory.

Looking ahead, RSC travels to #21 ranked St. John Fisher College on February 6 for a 1 p.m. Empire 8 contest.
