ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College freshman guard Lauren Sanderson (Ravena, NY/RCS) was named the Empire 8 Conference Women's Basketball Co-Rookie of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 16.

Sanderson averaged 13.5 points on 42.9% shooting in the 2-0 week. The freshman guard registered 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per-game in the pair of road victories. She established a career high of 17 points in Saturday's win at Houghton.

Looking ahead, RSC (6-7/2-2 E8) is slated to host Utica on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
