SAGE SELECTS EMILY PARSLOW AS CO-FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Albany, NY— The Sage Colleges recently honored several student-athletes in conjunction with their annual athletic award banquet. Among the many awards handed out, Sage selected senior women's basketball player Emily Parslow (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) as the Co-Female Athlete of the Year.

Earlier in the year, Parslow was named to the 2018-2019 Empire 8 Women's Basketball First Team. Among the other honors she achieved during her final season at Sage, she was also selected to the Empire 8 Fall and Spring Presidents' List, while also earning a second straight induction to the Sage Athletic Honor Society at the banquet for her outstanding accomplishments in the classroom as well.

She had another impressive season and wraps her outstanding career with a number of accomplishments on her resume. She is Sage's all-time three-point leader 256 three-pointers and once again broke the single-season three-point record for the second straight year after adding 86 on the campaign as a senior.

Parslow closed her Sage career ranked third all-time in scoring with her 1,370 points. In addition, she broke the career free throw percentage mark as she finished with an 81.5% (202-248).  She was the Gator high scorer 10 times on the season, while also breaking the Sage single-game record for most three-point baskets with 8 against RPI (11/20/18), the same night that she scored her 1,000th career point. Parslow also added a personal-best 35 points against Nazareth this year and that effort is the third most-points scored in a single game for the Gators.
