Patrregnani adds 20 points in Sage's 17th win as Gators down Alfred, 77-50

Albany, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's basketball team hosted Alfred University in an Empire 8 contest in Kahl Gym on Saturday and collected the 77-50 victory as sophomore guard Gessica Patregnani (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) added 20 points off the bench. With the win, Sage is now 17-6 overall and 11-3 in the empire 8. Alfred drops to 2-20 overall and 0-13 in the league.

Sage held a 38-28 lead at the half and had eight different players figure into the scoring on Saturday. Patregnani was 7-8 from the floor, including a 6-7 effort from three point range. She added four assists and two steals for the Gators. Joining her in double-digit scoring was junior guard Emily Parslow (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) with 15 points, while sophomore forward Megan Flynn (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls Central) added 14 points. Rounding out the top scoring players for Sage was rookie Madasyn Bush (Pottersville, NY/North Warren Central) with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Alfred got 12 points from sophomore guard Jamie Wilcox (Forestville, NY/Pine Valley), while junior guard Katlyn Boland (New York, NY/A. Phillip Randolph) and rookie guard Lyndsey McCoy (Middleburgh, NY/Middleburgh Central) both had nine points.  Sophomore forward Samantha Pierre-Loius (Wheatley Heights, NY/Half Hollow Hills West) finished with eight rebounds and four points for the Saxons.

Parlsow has added 925 career points putting her in the No. 8 spot at Sage, while her 163 career three-pointers ranks second. Parslow is also now fourth in career assists with 279. Bowman has 684 career points with 557 career rebounds which stands sixth best on the career list. Bowman is 16th in career scoring and sixth in career rebounding.
