Sage women pick up road win over Hartwick on Tuesday

Oneonta, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's basketball squad collected a 62-53 road win over Hartwick College on Tuesday night in Empire 8 action. Sage improves to 13-6 overall and 7-3 in the Empire 8, while Hartwick drops to 5-13 overall and 4-5 in the league.

Three Gators finished in double digits to help the team to the key league win. Leading the way was junior guard Emily Parslow (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) with 16 points.  Senior forward Genevieve Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) added 14 points with seven rebounds and junior guard Kaitlyn Bowman (Dannemora, NY/Saranac) posted 10 points with nine rebounds as well for the Gators. Sophomore Megan Flynn (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls Central) contributed a team-best 10 rebounds with seven points as well for Sage.

Schoff, this week's Empire 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, added her 69th career game of scoring in double-digits. She continues to add to her career resume that included 1,328 points (No. 2) with 831 rebounds (No. 2) and has now played in 101 career games at Sage. She is tied for No. 2 in career games played and is also second in career blocks with 121. Parlsow is 10th in career scoring with 854 point and ranks second in career three pointers with 15 and is fifth in career assists with 266..

Sage returns to action on Saturday, February 3 travelling to Elmira for a 4 p.m. Empire 8 match-up.
