Gators make it 7 wins in row, beating Yeshiva 82-44

Albany, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's basketball team hosted the Maccabees of Yeshiva University on Wednesday night in a Skyline Conference game at Kahl Gym. Sage triumphed, 82-44 to extend the squad's win streak to seven game as the team is now 13-5 overall and 9-2 in the Skyline. Yeshiva drops to 2-12 overall and 0-9 in the league.  

Sage led 51-11 at the half and was paced by the play of junior forward Genevieve Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) as she finished with 14 points and eight rebounds in 22 minutes of work. Schoff is about to move past Susanne Booth for the No. 7 spot in career scoring. Booth holds the position with 889 points and Schoff is right on her tail with 887. She is No. 5 in career rebounds with 566 rebounds and well as No. 2 in career blocks with 79.

Rookie guard Gessica Patregnani (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) finished with 11 points off the bench after making three shots from three-point range with four assists in the action. Overall on the night, Sage combined for 45.5% shooting from three-point range as they made 10-of-22 from beyond the arch.  Sophomore guard Macie Holmes (Amsterdam, NY/Mekeel Christian Academy) finished with nine points, as did sophomore guard Kaitlyn Bowman (Dannemora, NY/Saranac).

Yeshiva's junior guard Andrea Weiss (Miami, FL/RASG Hebrew Academy) led all players with her 15 points, including 12 in the second half as she converted 5-of-6 three point shots. Junior forward Michal Alge (Boston, MA/Maimonides) added 12 points with eight rebounds with three assists and a pair of steals for the Maccabees.

Sage is back in action on January 28 traveling to SUNY-Old Westbury for a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference contest. Yeshiva will host Farmingdale State in a league contest on January 29 at 1p.m.
