Patregnani and Schoff Honored by Skyline

New York, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's basketball rookie guard Gessica Patregnani (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week following her impressive showing last week on the hardwood as the Gators went 3-0 with a trio of league wins. Junior forward Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) was named to the honor roll as well. The Gators are now 12-5 overall and tied for first in the Skyline Conference with an 8-2 league record.

Sage will host Yeshiva University on January 25 in a 6 p.m. league contest in Kahl Gym as the Gators look to extend the team's win streak to seven games.

Patregnani earned Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honors after a strong performance last week. She averaged 13.5 ppg last week, while hitting a red-hot 60.0% of her shots from 3-point range (9-15). She added 12 points in the win over MSMC on the heels of 15 points against Purchase to tie her career-best performance. Overall on the season, she has a 6.6 ppg average and now has 28 three-point baskets in 17 appearances.

Schoff, who is also a candidate for the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, leads the team with her 13.9 ppg and 9.6 rpg averages. A 17-game starter, she moved into the No. 2 spot in blocked shots at Sage last week and now has 79 blocks to go with her assent on the team's career scoring, rebounding, and free throws made lists. She is now taking aim at career free throws made (No. 2, 272). She is making a move to de-thrown Jocelyn Naples (300, 1994-1998), while also moving closer to racking up her 1,000th career point. She is No. 8 in career scoring with 873 points, while her 558 rebounds stands fifth to open the week.
