Gen Schoff named Skyline Conference Player of the Week

New York, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's basketball team posted a 3-0 week and owns a four-game win streak, thanks in part to the outstanding play of junior tri-captain Genevieve Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls). Schoff was named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday for her outstanding efforts last week after the forward averaged 17.3 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

She shot a blistering 64.5 percent (20-for-31) from the field en route to 52 points and 28 rebounds. She also added 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals per game in the Gators' three victories last week, while also scoring in double figures in each contest. She added a double-double in Sage's 54-52 win over Union on 15 points and 13 rebounds. She leads Sage and ranks sixth in the Skyline in scoring (14.8 ppg) and rebounding (9.6 rpg) on the season and has added four double-doubles this season. Schoff is also climbing the Gator record book as she has 784 points and moved past Erin Murphy (772 pts., 1999-2002) and is 10th. She has also has hauled in 491 career rebounds and is 7th all-time.

Sage is now 6-4 overall and 3-1 in the Skyline Conference and will be back in action on January 4, 2017 travelling to Farmingdale State College for a Skyline Conference game at 7 p.m.
