Three Gators finish in double-digits as Sage bests Yeshiva, 74-49

New York, NY- The Sage Colleges' women's basketball team travelled to New York City to take on Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference contest. Sage posted a 74-49 win to improve to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in the league. Yeshiva falls to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Sage led 34-23 at the half and never looked back as three different players finished in double digit scoring. Leading Sage to the win was junior forward Genevieve Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) as she finished with 19 points after hitting 8-of-10 field goals. She was joined in double-digit scoring by rookie guard Gessica Patregnani (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) with a career-high 15 points.

Sophomore guard Kaitlyn Bowman (Dannemora, NY/Saranac) connected for 10 points, while junior forward Teagan Clough (Watervliet, NY/Watervliet) added a career-best 13 rebounds. Junior forward Alyssa Nellis (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) also hauled in eight rebounds as Sage held a 44-32 edge on the boards.

Sage's duo of Schoff and Pearson continue their climb in the Gator Women's Basketball Record book. Pearson now has 825 career points and moved into No. 8 on the scoring list as she passed Erin Willis (822, 1999-2004). Schoff stands 11th with 751 as she moved ahead of Kristen Marcinczyk (744 points, 1992-1995).  Pearson also holds Sage's career three-pointer record with 147, while having now played in 87 games which ranks ninth all-time. Schoff is looking to rewrite the career free throws made standard as she has 238 as she moved passed Elizabeth Pearl (237, 1987-1991) and is now No. 2 in career free throws made, while ranking and is now No. 7 in career rebounds with 470 boards.

Sage hosts Union College on Thursday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in a non-conference game at Kahl Gym.
