Schoff and Bowman Named Skyline Player and Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK – Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) and Kaitlyn Bowman (Dannemora, NY/Saranac Lake) were named the week 13 Skyline Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week respectively. This is Schoff's fourth player of the week acknowledgement and Bowman's second Rookie of the Week honor for the 2015-16 season.

Schoff's standout fourth quarter and overtime performance on the road at Old Westbury lifted Sage over the Panthers. The sophomore recorded 17 points, a career-high 21 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Her 21 rebounds were two shy of breaking the Sage single-game record.

Schoff currently ranks 10th in all of NCAA Division III players in free throws made (137.0). The forward ranks fifth in the Skyline in scoring (15.6 ppg), rebounding (9.3 rpg) and blocked shots (1.6/gm).

Bowman had a career nigh at Old Westbury with a career-high 14 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. The freshman shot an impressive 58.3% from the field in Sage's win over the Panthers for the regular season Skyline title and number one seed in the Skyline Championship.

Sage's 20-5 (15-1 Skyline) record is the best in program history. The Gators currently have the 6th best three-point defense in the nation holding teams to a 22.5 shooting percentage.

Sage will play the winner of Farmingdale and Mount Saint Mary on Thu., Feb. 25 at 6:00 p.m. at Kahl Gymnasium.
