Sage women top Yeshiva for record 19th win of the season!

Albany, NY— The Sage College's women's basketball team hosted Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference contest on Sunday afternoon. Sage recorded the 61-49 win to establish a new mark for the most wins in a season after last year's team recorded 18 wins. With the victory on Sunday, Sage improves to 19-5 overall and 14-1 in the Skyline. Yeshiva drops to 1-19 overall and stands at 0-14 in the league.

Sage's sophomore forward Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) led all players with her 19 points and had eight rebounds in the contest. She made 9-of-12 free throws in the action and now has 132 free throws on the season, an active Sage record.

Sage's junior guard Frankie Pearson (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls Central) tallied 14 points and made three  three-point baskets in the contest to lay sole claim to the program's all-time three point record as she now has 129, after tying Carly Vallee (126, 2009-2013) in the last contest. She also broke the program's single-season three-point record as she has 60 on the year and moved ahead of Vallee who had 59 for the Gators during the 2011-2012 season.

Rookie guard Emily Parslow (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) also finished with double-digits as she had 15 points with six rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Prior to the game Sage honored Krystyn Knockwood (Troy, NY/Troy) in conjunction with Senior Day. A starter in 17 games this year, she led the team with her red-hot 52.8% field goal percentage, while adding 9.1 ppg and 8.2 rpg. She leads the team with her 41 blocked shots and was honored by the Skyline with a selection as the Player of the Week on January 25 and has earned two Skyline Honor Roll selections as well.

Her 41 blocks in a season is third best as well at Sage, while her 24 blocks last year stands No. 8 in the Gator single-season record book. Earlier this year, she had 6 blocks in the Gators' overtime win over Mt. St. Mary and added a personal-best 8 blocks against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, marks that ranks No. 2 and No. 4 in single-game performances. Her career best efforts also include 19 points against Southern Vermont earlier this year and 16 rebounds in the team's win over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.

She stands No. 2 all-time at Sage with her 76 career blocks, while adding 391 points, 360 rebounds and a 44.9% career field goal percentage. She has played in 69 games and ranks amongst the program's leaders in career games played as well.

She has also racked up 44 steals and 52 assists as a Gator and was part of the Gators' 2013-2014 Skyline Conference Championship team that also earned the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.

Sage closes the 2015-2016 regular-season out on February 20 with a 3 p.m. road Skyline Conference contest at SUNY-Old Westbury, next Saturday with a 3 p.m. start.
