Schoff earns third Skyline Women's Basketball Player of the Week citation

New York, NY---Sage's women's basketball sophomore forward Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) was selected as the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season, while earning back-to-back honors as a member of the squad.

She shot .488 from the floor (20-for-41) while averaging 16.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per outing over the Gators' three-game stretch. She posted a double-double with 24 points (9-for-14 FG) and 14 rebounds against non-conference foe Skidmore at the end of the
week. She also leads the Gators with her 15.4 ppg average, which is fifth highest in the Skyline Conference this year.

A 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District candidate, Schoff has made a Sage single-season best 107 free throws and owns a 77.5% free throw percentage, which ranks second in the league. Her 8.7 rpg average is 5th as well in the league, while her 29 blocks stands sixth best as well in the conference.

The Gators are 17-4 overall and a perfect 13-0 in the Skyline Conference this year. Sage will be in action three times this week as they host the Panthers of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the "Battle of New Scotland Avenue."

Sage returns to league play on Feb. 11 with a 5:30 p.m. road contest at the College of Mt. St. Vincent before closing the week on Feb. 14 hosting Yeshiva University at 1 p.m. in Kahl Gym.

February 14 marks the final regular-season home contest for the Gators and Sage will honor senior forward Krystyn Knockwood (Troy, NY/Troy) in conjunction with the action. And fans don;t forget Sunday is Super Hero Day! Fans wearing costumes of their favorite super hero will win prizes!
