New York, NY— The Sage College's women's basketball team had two players honored on Monday night with the release of the weekly awards. Rookie guard Emily Parslow (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) was named the Skyline Rookie of the Week, while junior forward Krystyn Knockwood (Troy, NY/Troy) earned Co-Player of the Week acclaim for her efforts.

Sage posted a 68-60 win over St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn in the lone contest last week and improves to 14-2, while owning the only undefeated league record as the team is now 10-0 in the Skyline Conference. The win over the Golden Bears marked a program-record 13th consecutive victory which surpassed last season's 12-game win streak. The Gators are back in action on January 26 travelling to Purchase College for an 8 p.m. Skyline contest and will wrap the week hosting St. Joseph's College (LI) on January 30 at 1 p.m. in Kahl Gym.

Last week against SJC-Brooklyn, Sage led 34-28 at the half and was paced by the play of three players that finished in double digit scoring. Leading the way was Parslow with 17 points to tie her Sage career-high after she added three assists with five steals. The rookie citation for Parslow is her second of the year after having also garnered a recognition on November 23. Parslow is the 18th leading scorer this year in the conference as she checks in with a 9.6 ppg average, while ranking sixth in assists per game (3.1), fourth in three-point field goals made per game (1.8), while also ranking seventh in three-point field goal percentage (31.5%), and sixth in assist to turnover ratio (0.9).

Knockwood added 14 points with a career-high 16 rebounds and a career-high eight blocked shots.  The double-double was the second straight for Knockwood. She continues her climb on the Gator career blocked shot list and she is now No. 2 with 76. Last week, she was honored with a placement on the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll. With the release of the latest Skyline women's basketball statistics, Knockwood ranks 15th in scoring with a 9.7 ppg average, while leading the league with her 52.8% field goal percentage. She is also sixth in rebounding with an 8.7 rpg average, while leading the conference with her 2.6 blocks per game average.

Second-year head coach Allison Coleman's Gators own a 14-2 record on the year and have garnered numerous awards thus far on the 2015-2016 campaign. The Gators have had the Skyline Player of the Week three times this season, while also boasting the Rookie of the Week on four times.
