Sage women watch win streak grow to 8 as they beat Yeshiva, 68-43

New York, NY— The Sage College's women's basketball team travelled to New York City and took on Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference match-up. The game saw the Gators triumph, 68-43 and with the easy win, Sage's win streak grows to eight games. The Gators stand at 9-2 overall and 5-0 in the Skyline, while Yeshiva drops to 0-9 overall and 0-6 in the league.

Sage led 45-17 at the break and got 13 points from sophomore forward Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls). Schoff added seven rebounds and has tallied double-digit scoring this season in 10 of 11 games she has played in this season. She leads the Gators in scoring and rebounding with her 14.8 ppg and 9.1 rpg averages.

Junior guard Frankie Pearson (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls Central) finished with 12 points, while adding a pair of assists and four steals for Sage in the action as the Gators held the Maccabees to 27.8% shooting from the floor (15-54), while not allowing a single-three-point basket by yeshiva as they were 0-7 in the contest.

For Sage, junior forward Krystyn Knockwood (Troy, NY/Troy) finished with 10 points and added one block, moving her career total to 54, which is No. 4 all-time at Sage.  

Sophomore forward Teagan Clough (Cohoes, NY/Watervliet) added a career-high five points with a personal-best 10 boards. She also had two blocks with two assists and three steals to aid in the team's convincing road win.

Sage will be back in action on January 7 hosting SUNY-Old Westbury at 6 p.m. in Kahl Gym.
