Schoff and Bowman collect acclaim for efforts on the hardwood at Sage

New York, NY--Sage's senior guard and team captain, Megan Bowman (Dannemora, NY/Saranac) and rookie forward Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) picked up more weekly awards again this week. Bowman earned the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week status, while adding a selection as the ECAC Corvais Division III Metro Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Schoff earned her fourth selection as the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week to her growing resume as well.

Bowman averaged 25.0 points, 6.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals as Sage earned wins over Old Westbury and Mount Saint Vincent last week. The senior guard poured in a career-best 33 points at Old Westbury before scoring 17 points against Mount Saint Vincent. Bowman shot 15-of-28 from the field, including a blistering 7-for-11 from three-point range last week.

Schoff averaged 9.0 points and 10.5 rebounds as Sage earned wins over Old Westbury (64-43) and Mount Saint Vincent (66-65). She also amassed nine points and a season-high 13 rebounds on Jan. 28 versus OW and had nine points and eight rebounds against CMS. She added three blocked shots on the week as well.

On the year, Bowman ranks No. 20 nationally with her assists per game average (5.4), while also ranking No. 104 with her 2.53 steals per game average. 

 

 



 





Bowman has 910 career points and is the No. 5 all-time scorer for the Gators. Bowman has also racked up 400 career assists and is just three shy or breaking the all-time mark of 402 currently held by Karen Harris (402, 1991-1995). Bowman also has 221 steals, good enough for the No. 3 spot on the Sage career list.

 











Schoff has an 8.1 ppg average with 5.7 rpg in 15 starts for the Gators and has been a consistent performer for Sage this season.
