Lucy Tremblay joins Sage women's basketball staff

Albany, NY – The Sage College's department of athletics announces the selection of Lucy Tremblay (East Greenbush, NY) as the new assistant women's basketball coach for the Gators. Tremblay join the staff and will work closely with head women's basketball coach, Allison Coleman.

Tremblay, who was a four-year letterwinner at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, joins the gator staff after one season as the assistant coach at Bard College. She was a stand-out performer for the Trailblazers and was named the Massachusetts State Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Year in 2010 after leading the team to the MASCAC Tournament Championship and an NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 2010. A member of the 1,000 point club at MCLA, she poured in 39 points in one game in lifting her team to a win as a senior. The recipient of numerous weekly and post-season awards throughout her career, she was voted the team's Most Improved Player as a sophomore in 2010-2011, while earned team MVP honors as a senior and a spot on the 2012-2013 MASCAC All-Conference Second Team.

An accomplished student, she earned her bachelor of science degree in business management in 2013 and was both a Dean's List and MASCAC Scholar-Athlete throughout her career. A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and served as the organization's treasurer and marketing and promotional chair as a senior. An intramural supervisor at MCLA for three years, she was active in planning and organizing numerous special events on campus and sport activities.

A graduate of Columbia High School, she helped lead the 2006-2007 team to the Sectional AA Championship title.
