Troy, NY- In tonight's local women's basketball action, Skidmore beat the Sage Colleges by a score of 74 to 52. The Gators (0-3 overall, 0-0 in the Skyline Conference) lose their third game in a row as the Thoroughbreds of Skidmore improve to 2-2 overall.

The Thoroughbreds scored the first point of the game and never relinquished the lead. Senior forward Laura Michel (Middle Valley, NY) contributed 28 points and six rebounds in the win while freshman Christina Gargiso (Staten Island, NY) added six points, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 4 steals. The Gators received solid efforts from senior Kelley Barnes (Schenectady, NY) who put up 15 points, 9 boards and sophomore Elizabeth Donk (Phelps, NY) who scored 16 points with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.

Sage returns to the hardwood against Skyline Conference opponent Mount Saint Mary College at home on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 6pm.
