Seventh Inning Rally Pushes Gators Past St. John Fisher

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Russell Sage College scored a pair of seventh inning runs to win 4-2 this afternoon at St. John Fisher. The road victory earned the Gators a split of the Empire 8 Conference doubleheader.

Junior outfielder Lauren Salmonese (Poughkeepsie, NY/Poughkeepsie) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while infielder Emily Agate (Franklin Square, NY/H. Frank Carey), a grad student (above), and senior left hander/infielder Taylor Dicranian (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) each were 2-for-4 with an RBI in the triumph.

The Cardinals (13-17/9-3 E8) won the opener 9-0 (6 innings). Junior outfielder Allie Klonowski went 3-for-4 with two homers and three RBI in the shutout win. She finished the twin-bill 5-for-7 with two runs scored and four RBI.

RSC (11-17/4-5 E8) returns to the field on Thursday, hosting Elmira. The E8 doubleheader at Clifton Commons is set to start at 3:30 pm.


Notes: Senior outfielder Arianna Papas (Castleton, NY/Maple Hill) was named the E8 Player of the Week on Monday. She slashed .556/1.000/.609 with seven runs scored, six RBI, and five doubles, across six games last week.
