ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College right-hander/infielder Makayla Lindsey (New Fairfield, CT/New Fairfield) was named the Empire 8 Conference Softball Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 13.

Lindsey batted .417 (5-for-12) with three runs scored and four RBI last week. The junior, who hit two home runs and totaled 11 bases, registered a .917 slugging percentage and a .462 on-base percentage. She recorded a pair of multi-hit efforts across the four games.

Looking ahead, the Gators (2-7) are scheduled to play a doubleheader at RPI on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
