Albany, NY — Russell Sage College’s softball team will sponsor two events for area softball players in the month of February. On February 6, 2022, the Gators will host a Prospect Clinic for high school students from the classes of 2022-2026. On February 13, 2022, the team will host their Youth Clinic for softball players from ages 6-13.

Objectives
Russell Sage Softball Prospect Clinic is open to high school students in classes 2022-2026. This clinic will cover throwing mechanics, defensive fundamentals, positional work for multiple positions, hitting mechanics, base-running, and significant full field game play. All participants will be exposed to college level training. Participants will interact with college coaches and "Talk College" with current Sage softball student-athletes. The high-level training will allow the prospect to work on all aspects of the game and leave a better player!
The camp will take place in our indoor turf facility, The Armory (130 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208). Each player must bring their own bat, glove, helmet, water, and sneakers/turf shoes! No cleats!
Masks are required at all times.
*We will also be going on a tour of the campus, so bring appropriate footwear and outerwear.*

Clinic Staff
Sage Head Softball Coach, Erica Li, and members of the 2022 Sage Softball Team and the assistant coaches will lead the clinic. The 2021 Gators advanced to the quarterfinals of the Empire 8 Tournament after an impressive 17-6 season that saw a number of players garner individual acclaim for successes on the playing fields and in the classroom.
Li enjoyed a decorated softball career at Williams College. She was named an All-American in 2016, and was also tabbed as the New England Small College Athletics Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Year. Her teams at Williams competed in the NCAA Tournament during her final three seasons, which included trips to the regional finals in both 2015 and 2016.

RSC’s Youth Softball Clinic is open to girls, ages 6-13. This clinic will provide individualized instruction, with an emphasis on improving each player's skill level. We feel that with our staff, players will improve their skill level and enjoy themselves while doing it! The drills will be compatible with their age and skill level. The clinic will include your choice of hitting and/or fielding, and pitching.

Each player should bring their own bat, glove, helmet, water bottle and sneakers/turf shoes! No cleats! Lunch or snack.
The clinic will take place in our indoor turf facility, The Armory located at 130 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208. Each player must bring their own bat, glove, helmet, water, and sneakers/turf shoes! We will be breaking for lunch, so each player is responsible for a lunch. Masks are required at all times.
