Samantha “Sam” Shallcross is a newcomer on the 2020 Sage softball team after transferring from Hilbert College, where she was a Scholar-Athlete and was also honored for her efforts in cross country as she was the recipient of the Coaches’ Award in 2018.
As a member of the 2020 Sage softball team, she started 8 of 12 games played as a member of the Gator infield. She batted .227 with five hits in 22 at bats. She drove in three runs and had a .977 fielding percentage as well with no errors in 43 total chances.
Academics at Sage:
Shallcross is an applied biology major at Sage with a track to physical therapy.
She is active on campus and is a member of SAAC.
High School:
A graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School, she was a three-year starter on the varsity softball team.
Shallcross was honored as a three-time scholar-athlete in the classroom.
She was also a Section 3 Second Team all-star as a junior and an honorable mention performer as a senior.

She is the daughter of Steve and Michelle Shallcross.
