Albany, NY— Sage's softball player, senior co-captain Kiersten Duncan (Millerton, NY/ Taconic Hills) was chosen as the Empire 8 Softball Player of the Week. The Gator first baseman is batting a cool .455 thus far on the season and has helped the team to a 3-7 start. She leads the team with seven doubles and nine RBI's already.

Duncan had a great finish to the week as Sage went 3-3. She batted .455 with 10 hits, including three doubles with six RBI's. She posted a .591 slugging percentage in 22 at bats with a .435 on-base percentage, while also committing just two errors for a .944 fielding percentage in 36 total chances.
Duncan added her 100th career hit this last week and now has 102 career hits with 40 doubles and is currently third on the team's career double list. She has also collected 63 career RBI's as well in 115 career game splayed with 113 career starts.
Sage returns to action on March 20 hosting Westfield State University on Wednesday in the team's 2019 home opener at Robison Field at the Neff Center in Troy with a non-league doubleheader at 3 p.m.
