Game # 1  Sage 10-2 SUNY-Cobleskill (6 innings)

The Gators and the Fighting Tigers were all tied at 2-2 after three innings of play as Cobleskill tied it up in the bottom of the third inning. Sage responded with five runs in the top of the fourth inning and broke open the game.

Leading the charge in the inning were sophomore catcher Brittany Brooks (North Bangor, NY/Salmon River Central) and junior infielder Kiersten Duncan (Millerton, NY/Taconic Hills) as they had back to back doubles to open the Gator's big inning.

By game's end, Sage had five doubles as graduate player Katy Rimawi (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa), senior Alexa Silk (Freehold, NY/Greenville) and sophomore Destiny Wierzbicki (Albany, NY/Troy) all went for doubles.

Rimawi added another big effort at the plate as she was 3-4 with two RBI's, two runs scored and continues her climb of the program's career record book. Rimawi now has 104 career RBI's and is one of three Sage players with 100 or more RBIs and she is 3rd all-time. She is also fifth in career runs scored with 96, while also ranking in a tie for fourth with her 36 career doubles as she is now tied with Kellie Jones.

Alexa Silk is also making her run as the Gators' leader in several categories. She is now No. 2 in career runs scored (124), No. 2 in stolen bases (61), No. 4 in a tie for most career doubles (36), while ranking third in career hits with 172. She is also now 15th in career games played with 120, while standing fifth with her 406 career at bats. On Thursday, she was 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored with a double.

Senior pitcher Amy Hart (St. Johnsville, NY/Little Falls) collected a complete game win to earn the win after striking out six in the game. She allowed no earned runs off five hits and is now 3-5 on the year. Like her classmates, the senior is also making her run in the pitching record book at Sage. Hart is now 13th in career appearance with 38, as well as 13th in career innings pitched (201.0 IP), ninth in career complete games with 13. She is also closing in on her 200th career strikeouts and she has 197 and is fourth.

The Gators will be in action next on April 14 at St. John Fisher College for an Empire 8 doubleheader. Game start times may be adjusted to an earlier start on Saturday to avoid bad weather so please check back!
