Hart Named Skyline Pitcher of the Week

NEW YORK – Junior Amy Hart (St. Johnsville, NY/Little Falls) was honored as the week three Skyline Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week Monday afternoon.

The recognition comes after Hart pitched her first career no-hitter at Sage Sunday afternoon in a six inning, 8-0 shutout over Purchase College. The junior knotted a season-high seven strikeouts for the second time after facing just two batters over the minimum. The Gators went on to sweep the Panthers in the conference double-header with a 2-1 win in the other contest.

Sage is currently third in the Skyline with a 5-1 conference record. The Gators sit behind undefeated Mount Saint Mary and St. Joseph's – Long Island with records of 6-0 and 4-0, respectively. Behind Sage in fourth is Farmingdale St. with a 4-2 record while St. Joseph's – Brooklyn and Mount Saint Vincent are tied for fifth with records of 1-1.

The Gators are set to take a break from conference play in a double-header against SUNY-Cobleskill at Robison Field in Troy, NY. The first pitch is set to be thrown at 3:30 p.m.
