Sage Softball Gears Up for Skyline Championship

TROY, NY – The Sage softball team will travel to Mount Saint Mary Friday afternoon for the Skyline Championships.

The second seeded Gators (25-13, 14-4 Skyline) are set to take on the three seed in Mount Saint Vincent (20-15, 14-4 Skyline) at 3 p.m. following the first game between first seed Mount Saint Mary (19-10, 16-2 Skyline) and fifth seed Farmingdale State (15-16, 12-6). The last time Sage and Mount Saint Vincent met, they split a double header with Sage taking the first game 6-2 with the Dolphins taking the night cap 8-7.

Sage currently leads the Skyline in batting average (.350), slugging percentage (.536), runs (272), hits (396), RBI's (243), doubles (86), home runs (31), total bases (593), wins (25), saves (three) and runners caught stealing (10).

Game 3: Farmingdale State/St. Joseph's-Long Island winner vs. Mount Saint Mary, 12 p.m.
Game 4: Purchase/Mount Saint Vincent winner vs. Sage, 3 p.m.

Saturday, April 30

Game 5: Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner, 10 a.m.
Game 6: Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser, 1 p.m.
Game 7: Game 5 loser vs. Game 6 winner, 4 p.m.

Sunday, May 1
Game 8: Game 5 winner vs. Game 7 winner, 11 a.m.
Game 9: if necessary, 1:30 p.m.
