Sages' Alexa Silk Named Skyline Softball Player of the Week

NEW YORK - Sophomore Alexa Silk (Freehold, NY/Greenville) was named the week one Skyline Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Silk had a monster week with a .500 batting average on 18 hits. The second baseman scored 14 runs with two homeruns, two doubles and one triple. She recorded a team-high a .778 slugging percentage and a .526 on-base percantage. On the defensive end, Silk recorded 25 putouts and eight assists.

Last year, Silk was named first-team All-Conference and co-Rookie of the Week once in her freshman campaign.

Silk led Sage to a 3-7 week in Florida, and they enter conference play on Saturday with a doubleheader at Sarah Lawrence at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
