New York, NY – The Sage College's senior short stop Hillary Faas (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) was named the Skyline Conference Softball Player of the Week for her outstanding play last week. She also added a selection as the Corvais ECAC Division III Metro Co-Player of the Week to her resume. Rookie pitcher Erika Daigle (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) was named to the Skyline Conference Honor for the second time this season.

Fass collected 13 hits in 22 at-bats (.591) with 11 RBI's and 10 runs scored in a 4-2 week for the Gators. She was 4-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI on April 12 as Sage earned an 11-7 win versus

Farmingdale State. The next day she went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI on April 13 in the Gators' 9-2 victory over Purchase College. She had four multi-hit performances and three home runs on the week, while also becoming the program's all-time leader in hits (176). She also owns Sage's career records for most home runs (19), doubles (42), at-bats (462), as well as RBI's (120). She was also perfect last week on defense and did not commit an error in the field. On the spring, she is batting .462 with 10 doubles and five homers, while owning a .753 slugging percentage.

Daigle was named to the Honor Roll for the second time this season after earning Pitcher of the Week honors previously on March 31.  The Gators' freshman RHP went 2-1 with a save and a 1.94 earned run average on the week, while also fanning 22 batters and limited the opposition to a .182 batting average. Overall on the season, has worked in a team-leading 81 innings with a 7-4 record. She leads Sage with her 101 strikeouts. Her 101 K's ranks No. 2 for Sage single-season performances, while her 2.68 ERA leads the Gators in 15 outings with a save. 

Sage's softball team will wrap Skyline Conference regular-season play this week with a busy agenda. Sage hosts Mt. St. Mary College on Wednesday, April 16 in a doubleheader at Robison Field at 3 p.m. On April 18, Sage will host SUNY-Old Westbury at 3 p.m., also in a Skyline Conference doubleheader. The week wraps with face taking on NYU-Poly on April 19 at 1 p.m. in a league doubleheader to be played on the campus of Wagner College (Staten Island, NY).
