SAGE SOFTBALL PROGRAM TO HOST SUMMER SOFTBALL CAMPS

Troy, NY---The Sage Colleges softball program will hold their 2010 Softball Camps. There will be two different camps offered in July. The first is a Beginner Skills Clinic, which will run from July 24-25, while the Advanced Players’ Camp will take place July 26-28. Both camps will take place at the Robison Softball Field located behind the Neff Athletic Center in Troy.

             The cost for the Beginners’ Clinic is $100 and if registered and paid in full by July 1, 2010, the cost will be $90. The Beginner Skills Clinic is open to players age 8-12. The Advanced Players’ Clinic is $230 and is open to players Age 13-18 and register and pay by July 1 for a $20 discount. Both camp registration fees include camp t-shirts.

             The camps will assist students as they learn the art of throwing mechanics, catching the ball in a proper position, and getting their feet ready to throw again. In addition, the camps and clinics will also show campers how to pop up from a dive, throw on the run, and angle for ground ball hits in the hole.

            Fielding, pop-ups, and base-running will round out the day before campers hit the batting cages to work on hitting mechanics.

            With these events, campers will get a taste of fundamentals in a fun, interactive, and energetic atmosphere. We purposefully keep registration small so that your instruction is maximized and personalized! Sign up today!
