Softball Drops Two To Local Rival RPI

Troy, NY - The Sage Colleges softball team dropped two games to local rival RPI 0-25 and 0-19, respectively.

In the first game of the day RPI went ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the first, and on to score seven runs in the bottom of the second inning to take the lead and never look back.  Sage's lone hit of the game came from Rebecca Gregory (Hudson, NY) as she hit a single in the top of the first en route to going 1-2 for the game.  Kristen Knights (Chatham, NY) recorded the loss for the Gators. 

Sage got some offense in the second game, but couldn't move people across the plate allowing RPI to take the win 19-0.  Skyline player of the week Kellie Jones (Troy, NY) tallied a double in the top of the first and finished 1-3 on the game.  Gregory added a single in the top of the fifth inning to go 1-2 with a stolen base.  Knights recorded the loss for Sage. 

The Gators return to the field Thursday, April 2nd when they travel to SUNY Cobleskill for a non-conference match up.
