Newburgh, NY - The Sage Colleges softball team opened up conference play Sunday afternoon
with two losses at Mount Saint Mary College.

In the first game the gators fell 6-16 in five innings to the blue knights. Sara Rysedorph (Troy, NY) recorded the loss, giving up 15 hits. leading sage was Kellie Jones (Troy, NY) going 2-3 while scoring twice. Jaime Handford (Berlin, NY) also went 2-3 with one run batted in.
 
In the second game sage battled the whole game but eventually fell 1-5. Jones remained consistent going 2-3 again with two singles and a stolen base. Becky Gregory (Hudson, NY) went 1-2 with a stolen base and scored once. Kristen Knights (Chatham, NY) tallied the loss for sage allowing eight hits.

Sage returns to the field Wednesday, March 25th when they host Southern Vermont College at 3pm.
